Why were you looking for the Sharks ,or what were you looking for when you found out about us?
I was looking to get back into a team sport, having played basketball at uni. After googling for all and any sport clubs within Glasgow as a New Year resolution for 2019, I saw a Gumtree Ad for a taster session with the Glasgow Sharks. As an Aussie friend had previously introduced me to AFL (and of course the best team, Geelong), I decided to go along, and never looked back 🦈
Why do you keep coming?
Team spirit – everyone was so welcoming at my first session, just a handful of individuals having fun in the park, and now we have a full squad fighting for selection, it’s incredible to see how much we’ve grown! The support truly is incredible.
What would you say to someone unsure whether they should come along?
Don’t overthink it, just go. I promise you won’t regret it. No previous contact or kicking a ball experience required, you’ll learn with the help from your new family 👌
