Women’s forward Line Star Reaches 25 Games

At the coming Haggis Cup Nicole Gainska will reach game 25 for the Sharks!

Since arriving at the club with no knowledge of the sport Nic has battled hard to break into the Sharks side providing forward line pressure and unrelenting effort. Always willing to help out where possible and bringing a positive energy everyone at the club is ecstatic to see Nic reach this milestone and wishes her well in the Haggis Cup!

We spoke to Head Coach Adam Jack to get a little insight into Nic.

“Nic works incredibly hard to make sure she is always in the mix when it comes to team selection. She is always working on her fitness and always willing to listen and put work into her skills. Its always being willing to listen that sets Nic apart, her ability to absorb and take on feedback is a credit to her. She provides the team everything she has in each contest and that’s all you can ever ask a team mate!”

We had some time to ask Nic she enjoys most about the club.

“The support from the club is unreal. When you’re on the pitch, you know you’ve got your back covered and when it counts off the pitch the footie fam is there for you too 💙

The club is building a Spotify playlist – stay tuned for details – so we asked Nic what her go-to warm up song is, the answer – Watch Me Shine by Joanna Pacitti, also as a bonus on game days – If You Want Blood by AC/DC.

Saturday 15th will see Nic and others reach their 25th games, good luck Nic, kick a few goals and enjoy yourself!
