Shark Committee

The Glasgow Sharks has a fully committed set of people who ensure the Sharks are constantly moving forward. Pictures and committee profiles are to be uploaded soon untill then this is an extract from the Sharks AGM Minutes.

Election of 2011 Committee

President

 Neil Cooper nominated Stephen Connor to continue as President, seconded by Scott O’Hara.  This was agreed unanimously.  Stevie comment that we had a great year in 2010 but that he felt him and the club can build on this and be much stronger in 2011.  Adam agreed, commenting that we should set no ceiling to our ambitions.

 Action: Stephen Connor elected as President.

 Secretary

 Stephen Connor nominated Alex Young to continue as Secretary, seconded by Scott O’Hara.  This was agreed unanimously.

 Action: Alex Young elected as Secretary.

 Treasurer

 Stephen Connor nominated Andy Butler to continue as Treasurer, seconded by Scott O’Hara.  This was agreed unanimously.

 Action: Andy Butler elected as Treasurer.

 Social Coordinator

 Stephen Connor nominated Darren Chadwick to continue as Social Coordinator, seconded by Neil Cooper. This was agreed unanimously.  Stephen Connor nominated Adam Jack to continue as Deputy Social Coordinator, seconded by Scott O’Hara. This was agreed unanimously.  It was also agreed that a calendar of events should be produced for 2011.

 Action: Darren Chadwick elected as Social Coordinator

Action: Adam Jack elected as Deputy Social Coordinator.

 Web Coordinator

 Scott O’Hara nominated John McIntyre as Web Coordinator, seconded by Neil Cooper.  This was agreed unanimously and there was strong praise for the work he had done in previous months since taking over the role informally.

 Action: John McIntyre elected as Web Coordinator.

 Matchday Coordinator

 Stevie explained that this new role would initially involve organisation of travel and other arrangements for games.  Neil Cooper nominated himself as Matchday Coordinator, seconded by John McIntyre. This was agreed unanimously.

 Action: Neil Cooper elected as Matchday Coordinator.

 Media and Publicity Manager

 Paul Dalziel nominated himself to help out with this role, seconded by Stephen Connor. This was agreed unanimously.  It was agreed that the AFL Community Club website could be important in informing this role.  Stevie suggested he speak to Angus Thomson about helping with the role too, which was also agreed.

 Action: Paul Dalziel elected as Media and Publicity Manager

Action: Stevie to speak to Angus Thomson about helping out with this role.

 Glasgow Links Coordinator

 Stevie suggested there was a need for a nominated person to develop links with Glasgow City Council.  Andy suggested this person could also link up with Glasgow Sports Council.  Stephen Connor nominated Scott O’Hara as Glasgow Links Coordinator, seconded by Alex Young.  This was agreed unanimously.

 Action: Scott O’Hara elected as Glasgow Links Coordinator.
