Haggis Cup 2010


The SARFL in conjunction with the Glasgow Sharks would like to announce Scotland‘s Aussie Rules 9-a-side Club Tournament to be played in Glasgow on the 10th April 2010.

The Haggis Cup is now in it’s 7th year. Having previously fielded teams from across England, Ireland, Wales, Belgium and FranceAberdeen.

This year we are looking at fielding at least a 6 team competition including Edinburgh and Glasgow to take on reigning Cup holders

The tournament will take place over one day and be played under current European 9-a-side rules in an express format and there will also be a post tournament function.To register your interest or if you would like any further information please contact the SARFL President Dougie Hunter via the Contacts section.

Scottish Cup – Haggis Cup

The Glasgow Sharks are hoping to get the new season underway with a taste of silver ware as they host the pre-season Cup on 25 March. Competition for the Sharks comes in the form of the Edinburgh Old Town Bloods and the Dublin Demons.The Sharks are looking to build upon last seasons success where they reached the Scottish Grand Final by aiming to land the Scottish Cup.

The Scottish Cup is being played on Saturday afternoon (25/03/06). The teams will be meeting at the Walkabout on Renfield Street at 11am and then heading down to Victoria Park where the first game will start at 1pm.

Afterwards there will be a reception at the Walkabout from 5pm where we will be presenting the Cups to the winners and Best on Ground. Any interested in coming along is more than welcome to attend in the upstairs Surfers Bar.
